i don’t care about the comfort of people who don’t care about my comfort
As a professional intersex trans woman voice over artist let me tell you one thing:
Don’t let anyone EVER tell you that you need to change your voice for their comfort, EVER.
What is DEEP, or MANLY, or FEMININE, or ANDROGYNOUS, or HIGH PITCH, or HUSKY, or SOFT, or WHATEVER is very dependent on one person’s perspective.
I know cis men with way higher voices than me, I know cis women with way deeper voices than me, I know shorter folks than me with husky gruff voices, I know taller folks than me with spritely soft voices.
All this “YOU GOTTA SOUND A CERTAIN WAY” shit is absolute NONSENSE.
You do what you need for you to feel comfortable, THAT’S IT! If someone pressures you to change your voice for THEIR comfort and you don’t give a shit? Toss that person in the TRASH and live your life without their negativity.

Hey just a heads up if you’re going to Minneapolis Pride this weekend, if you pass a booth with people asking you to watch a video and they’ll pay you a dollar, don’t do it. They’re a group like PETA that’s trying to trick you into watching a graphic video about animal slaughter. It’s a ten minute video of animal gore that they’re trying to play off as activism. If you are any type of sensitive to gore, don’t watch the video.
This isn’t any sort of criticism of vegans or vegetarians, this is just a friendly warning about groups that want to show you animals dying and covered in blood. Regardless of your opinions on animal welfare, that’s not okay to show to people with no warning.

there’s a delicate balance between “seeing something on my dash so often i end up caring about it unexpectedly” and “seeing something on my dash so often that it gets added to the blocked list with extreme prejudice”

you revert to self-sabotage because you can control the cycle. you’re stuck in a loop of familiarity because you thrive in the comfort you’ve created for yourself. the illusion of false safety is controlling you far more than you think.
cut it out.

Gay people are better at comedy because they can’t fall back on “I hate my spouse of the opposite gender” so they have to come up with real jokes
Can we maintain the levity for like 5 minutes guys

sometimes dnd archetypes annoy me because like. at the core of a paladin oath it’s being so dedicated to something it gives you superpowers
they’re not christian camp counselors or cops they’re fucking autistic
I know this is a meme but Paladins are genuinely one of the most flavour-rich classes in the game.
An oath is a fascinating cornerstone of characterisation simply because a person, for whatever reason, has been driven to condense their permanent identity into a few words. It’s this immovable pillar of their character magically anchored to the core of their being, and what’s more? It’s by choice.
You don’t fall into a Paladin oath the way you might with a Warlock pact & nowhere does it say an oath’s power has to be granted by another entity.
Every character has a core, but Paladins chose theirs. Taking an oath is looking at one thing, anything and going this. this is worth it. I will take this into myself and swear never to stray from it and it will inform everything I have been and everything I am now and everything I will become in the future.
Imagine loyalty so extreme it produces its own divinity and tell me that isn’t worthy of a story.

Once again I bear the burden of the only person who has been right about anything ever
my favorite paladin is eggbert from outsidexbox’s dnd series, and “god’s most autistic soldier” is the perfect way to describe him
